We know that finance and investments are important but that doesn’t mean they have to be complicated and confusing. Our job is to help you feel good about your future. The only way we can do that is to offer straightforward, expert advice and back it up with exceptional customer service and of course, great performance. There is nothing new in in this approach, we have been doing that for clients since 1994.
Everyone wants to know if their finances will outlive them, but circumstances change from person to person. Income and capital vary; people have different ideas about how much they need for a comfortable retirement. We take time to assess your current financial situation, learn what you’d like to achieve in the future, then establish what steps you must take to get there.
We are happy to explain everything, but we make sure we don’t over complicate anything. A happy client is one that understands exactly how their future financial security is being managed. In our world that’s the least you can expect.

To be honest, financial planning is not particularly exciting, but helping people achieve their future financial aspirations is far more rewarding. Although our industry likes to talk technical, our clients prefer that we don’t. We can and will explain everything you want to know but clarity is essential. We look after clients for the long term and so we aim to ensure you know exactly what is happening with your investment strategy and why. You can talk to us at any time about anything and our most basic principle is to advise what we would do in your situation. If that means doing nothing, then we will say so.
Meet the team
An experienced and motivated team of seven work behind the scenes, running the back office, allowing Alex and Richard the time they need to devote to clients, meeting and speaking with them and managing their portfolios.
Alex Campbell

Alex never forgets that his job is to help clients feel good about their future!
His reputation for straight forward advice is based on a lifetime in the financial services industry. He has been an independent financial adviser since 1989, forming the business with John Harrison in 1994 and becoming Managing Director of Campbell Harrison Limited in 2008.
Alex has been a pension transfer specialist since 1994 and has held the Investment Management Certificate since 1996.

Richard Collis

Putting himself in the shoes of his clients is fundamental to how Richard works.
After joining Norwich Union in Sheffield in 1990, Richard went on to work with several insurance companies, collaborating with independent financial advisers across South Yorkshire, including Campbell Harrison.
Guiding clients through the maze of pensions and investments is central to how Richard helps clients to meet their future financial goals, but he knows it’s always driven by what is right for them.

Julie White
Office Manager
Julie believes straight-forward financial advice is a given, exceptional customer service is where she aims to make a difference.
She began working in 1987 with insurance companies Eagle Star followed by Scottish Amicable. She joined Campbell Harrison as an administrator in 2001, and now controls operations in the role of office manager.
Julie has the qualifications needed to give advice to clients, but her real strengths are running the operational team, supporting the advisers and ensuring that customer service is paramount.

Our history
Campbell Harrison opened its doors in 1994, and in the many years since, we’ve worked tirelessly to serve clients in an attentive and personal manner. In 2008 the business became a limited company, reflecting persistent growth, Julie White became office manager in 2010, and Richard Collis came on board as a financial adviser in 2011.
Our offices in historical Paradise Square, Sheffield complement our approach to financial planning on behalf of our customers: a trusted financial environment built on solid foundations.
We work hard to reassure all our clients about their current and future finances and the fact that so many of them recommend our services to their family, friends and associates shows we’re doing it right.

Campbell Harrison established as a partnership. Moved into offices at the Old Snuff Mill on Sharrow Lane

Moved into Cloisters Chambers in the Cathedral Quarter.

Became a limited company with Alex Campbell as Managing Director.

Moved into the current offices in Paradise Square.

Julie White having first joined as an administrator in 2001, becomes office manager.

Richard Collis joins as a financial adviser following a career in the insurance company sector.

Following a steady expansion process now a team of 10, including Alex, Richard and Julie plus a back office support team.
